You’re mixing Bitcoin and Blockchain there I think. And just because those other things (telephone, internet, etc) went off, doesn’t mean Bitcoin will. There are thousands of inventions that look like the next big thing but then get easily forgotten because they couldn’t find a real world use case. Bitcoin/Blockchain has been here for 10 years, but by far biggest use for it is speculation in exchanges/trading. And 10 years in todays tech world is a very very long time …
